I read your post, and thought you could use some advice: Don't give up on yourself, I mean, copying is how I started out, too. I think that's how nearly everyone starts out. Try some free hand work, on a piece of paper, lined, maybe. Flip through one of those "How to draw Manga" books-especially the construction lines. Good luck, and take pride in what you can do now!
